I talk about linking a power rio in an out building to the main panel with rs485 to ethernet converters. you could then link the buildings with a wireless link. Thoughts please. If it did work, then any hiccup with the network would cause a module tamper. Watching the traffic on an rs485 datalogger its a frenzy of retries and late acks because the modules didn't see the ack in time. SouthernBrad Posted November 8, 2017 Share Posted November 8, 2017 I was going to say something similar to Nova. AMG Systems have made 485 over fibre converters for the Galaxy in the past. If its in another building might be worth seeing if they have any spare fibre cores of the buildings are linked via fibre.
