July 29, 20178 yr comment_466674 Yes, I was talking about the control panel LED. The keypad needs to be on the bus at a valid address when the panel boots and scans the bus looking for devices. With the Flex, you can add devices and scan for them with menu 72, but you need that first keypad addressed on the bus in order to use the menu to tell the control panel to rescan. July 30, 20178 yr Author comment_466685 I believe it's now pretty much up and running. I even have the GX app on my phone working and can e.g. restart the system from there (within my own home network, I'll have to configure the router to get the same functionality from outside). Many thanks for staying with me here! Let me know when you ever get to Amsterdam, and I'll buy you a beer (or two :-) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41432-keypad-on-galaxy-flex-20-only-shows/page/2/#findComment-466685 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 May 22, 2025May 22 comment_529713 Hello, I seem te be having a similar problem, yesterday my alarm started displaying the same issue. Only it had been working perfectly for the past 5-6 years. The problem now seems that my installer seems to have gone out of business and nobody want to touch this old thing. I'm capable of doing a reboot (disconnect mains and battery) myself but am wondering if this wil have any influence on the problem. Regards Stijn Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41432-keypad-on-galaxy-flex-20-only-shows/page/2/#findComment-529713 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 Regards Stijn If you know what you are doing you could, but I wouldnt advise it if you know nothing about alarms and you dont have anyone you can call, or spare parts. The keypad is used to control the system, if you down power and power up and the keypad still doesnt work you wont be able to silence it. There could be a number of reasons why your panel has done this, if it hasnt been serviced in a while all the batteries will be u/s, it could be a cable has been damaged it could be the keypad has died. Post where you are (Town) there maybe someone on here able to help Galaxy is a well loved known brand and most good engineers know it even if its not their weapon of choice nowadays Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41432-keypad-on-galaxy-flex-20-only-shows/page/2/#findComment-529715 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 Regards Stijn you may have to crash the panel, but the method depends on what panel it is. can't say exactly how to on here but i wouldnt recommend doing unless your confident and know what your doing really. jay Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41432-keypad-on-galaxy-flex-20-only-shows/page/2/#findComment-531726 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
