So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

 

At home I installed a inline Sure stop solenoid just after the incoming stop tap, has a meter of "Flex" that allows you to mount the isolation switch in a convenient / accessible location. Nice & easy to install.

Always ensure the water to the house gets switched off if away for a few days or on holiday!

When you say "flex" you mean pipe that's connected to the air switch? 

 

 

I'd say so.

I don't think I could trust push fit, especially on a supply or rising main.

My incoming is plaggy compression, not much better tbf

To be honest I'd trust a £30 John Guess push fit valve converting rising main MPDE to copper / push fit over those hideous Screwfix £7.99 'MDPE one end, 15mm the other' Chinese made valves that most modern houses seem to have.

sorry yes that is correct - reason I said flex is its a similar size / shaped to a 1.5mm twin & earth

Yep they even give you 2.5 T+E clips to fix it!
