I don't like using subcontractors its difficult due to the audit process and hoping they will do as asked.

Do NSI actually bother to check if companies use approved subbies?

It would appear not from my experience.

 

 

There are many factors to subbies: experience, ability, part of the country, London can pay much higher than oop narth. Day rate is, much preferred by subbies, personally I would rather agree a price for the job in advance.

Yes we have had to screen as if they were employees and check insurance and all the other bollox
