Rulland
Am I right in thinking that the AP requires a wired connection to the main router?, is this different to a repeater?, learning curve for moi, never really delved into it tbh. Thats how ive done mine, so either hw, or powerline adaptors. I'm no expert, but like messing about with stuff like this if i have a spare hour or so, like wise with reading up on things. It all helps........ Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/38484-access-points/page/3/#findComment-417761 Share on other sites

Rulland
Thanks 9651, I've heard that using a repeater halves the wireless speed, again, I don't know the truth or significance tbh, I would like to get better wireless coverage in my garden, I see conflicting reports about methods used.
