Low Volume Bell Box Printing?

Featured Replies

A few years back I installed two systems in two different houses, one has 2 external sounders the other has one... I can't remember exactly but I think they are Elmdene.  These boxes are looking old and tatty now and although they still work and their comfort LEDs flash nicely I think more deterent effect would be gained by refreshing them.

Originally I marked the boxes with a Logo, contact number etc. to make them look bona-fide.  I did this by hand using a stencil and the effect was OK but not good and with time looks a bit unconvincing.

Silkscreen printing is probably prohibitive due to the low volume i.e. 3.

Any idea how to get a convincing effect that lasts in the weather outside?

Thanks in advance.

PS

Probably use Elmdene again.

Elmdene will print as low as 20

Others will do it for free

For everything else I'd use the local car vinyl graphix cutter.

I do for small runs i.e. special boxes for void rental systems

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Does it have the same deterrent value though?

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

No but it gets lots of shares on Facebook, and the constant noise from passing minibusses full of sex-deprived modelling students seems to put off squatters.

Good quality vinyl should last at least 7 years, so is an option if you don't want 20 lids.

However, I would say it's not hard for people to search company names on there mobile to check for bona-fide companies, or even call the number on the box.

I am also not sure how many companies put there number on the boxes any more.

First thing is to check the box functions correctly, hold off test, battery test, trigger etc. No point replacing lids on a fault box.
