You said the insurer may not cover that's why I assumed bump. Cylinder snapping is becoming more common but would show signs of a break-in

 

Reason I said this is due I went to a insurance job and the insurance company was not going to pay out on the claim as they never had 'Insurance Approved Locks' which was the new 3 star locks.   and this insurance company was one of the big under writers.

My insurer asks for 5 lever locks, do five pin euro barrels count as a five lever like a chubb deadlock? If not my insurance is invalid as well!

5 lever front, back and integral garage. Not sure what's on some French UPVC @ the rear, will check when I can be arsed

 

There enough not for profit safety and security guys out there who replace them at low cost. 

 

Our company install a new lock for fiver!
