I would think the reason behind them not picking up is they sleep for a while after each activation.

That's it, the powermax looks like the pirs that are on the house currently.

Have you fitted any of these before, can I like them into any alarm panel? im thinking of leaving these up and linking them into the new panel.

I agree with Norm what's wrong with the Powermax? Assuming it's ok for the risk of the property? (only one way detection)

If I wanted something better I'd rip it all out and use Texecom and Rick O' Shea.
