Hi, I have just finished installing the complete system and it was while testing the system that i discovered the problem. Every thing tests ok...except....the speech dialler won't dial out until the alarm has been reset after an activation and then it will go through the correct sequence.

 

I am not sure about thees triggers. I had noticed the comments on the previous posts reference inverting the triggers but i can't find any reference to this in the manuals.

if the dialler is looking for 0v removed to trigger it then the bell output will only trigger it once you have disarmed, check the dialler instructions about inverting the input. Be aware your dialler will be useless by 2025 Openreach are changing all analogue lines to digital this has already been started in some areas

Scrap the dialler or swap it for GSM or something 

 

What panel are you fitting this to and what dialler are you using 

 

The inforna dialler should mostly work out of the box , when unused fit allot never had to invert anything but can't remember now lol

Isnt there a jumper for trigger polarity?

On informa I don't think so 

 

Atleast not version I used , its to basic for that

Trigger Levels [4]
The three inputs (IP1 to IP3), and the inhibit
input (INH), can be individually programmed as
active high (+ve trigger) or active low (-ve
trigger). An active high input will trigger the
Informa when the voltage present at the input
exceeds 3.5V (maximum is 15V). An active low
input will trigger the Informa when the voltage
is less than 1.0V.
a) Press [4] to change the Trigger levels.
The 4 LED’s show the trigger level of
inputs 1 to 3, and the inhibit input,
respectively. A lit LED shows that the
input is programmed as active high.
b) Press keys 1 to 4 to toggle (switch) the
trigger level of the inputs, between
active high (+ve trigger) and active low
(-ve trigger).
c) Press [PLAY] when finished, or [QUIT]
to ignore any changes.
The Informa automatically resets to top
level of the Engineering controls

Not with jumper , was just saying out of box they always worked for me 

No it's a programming option

I changed the four inputs triggers on the speech dialler from active low (LED on) to active high(LED of). All that happened was that the speech dialler instantly went in to the dialling sequence.
