Hi all

i have found this forum very helpful with questions i have had so thanks to all who helped before.

I have been installing/servicing etc for quite a while now (since 1993) but i have a question for anyone who deals with remote CCTV an area which i havent really dealt with apart from local stuff.

 

i have been asked to provide CCTV for a site which is to be remotely viewed by our monitoring station. we havent as a company done this service before so i thought i would ask on here if anyone can recommend types of camera or dome , detection and control panel which are quite simple to install.

the site would have external detection and mainly cameras would be external too.

I would start by speaking to your arc first, any worth their sort will have guidance on what to use and where to point it

I would suggest a Adpro Fast Trace 2 a solid unit not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and most ARC'S support these.

I wouldn't use anything else but adpro, but we use our own system or adpro depending on client

There is no easy answer to that do you know what port forwarding is?

no peter, and yes james we would have a play at the office first to get familiar with it.

i would expect the kit comes with support from somewhere ? or do they insist on training ?

If you don't know what port forwarding is my gut feel is this installation isn't for you.
