Galaxy Flex

Now the flex has been out and about for a while, what's the conclusion from those that install them, ease of installation/programming, performance, cost etc

A while ago it was suggested no real advantage over a G2 and a plastic box to boot.  Has that changed?

Don't think so. We looked at them a few months ago.

as far as I can remember its still a plastic case, has a plug type psu and by the time you fit a 7ah battery there's not a lot of room for a Dualcom. So we're sticking with the G2.

Isnt it a hybrid? So plastic box it will always be if theres radio guts in there. Looks a bit tight for space and that psu looks gash

Honeywell are doing a scantronic. Only exciting futures I see are hkc and siemans.

I thought it was the HKC that caused your 'siemans'?

Yeah sorry, I meant no advantages and aditionally still a plastic case.

I'll keep getting G2s whilst they're still available then.

Same here, I heard they were discontinuing the g2 and the flex was replacing it but I'm not so sure about that.

We've got one in the office somewhere ,Can't remember which panel is cheaper of the top of my head.
