Right - ground loop isolators did the trick. I was given a twisted pair version, which incorporates a passive balun in the same box of tricks.

The boss (so therefore me) is happy with this as a solution, rather than routing power to the cameras from the "good" side of the site. So happy days.

Just waiting on faulty samsung dome and faulty amplifier to be exchanged. And then jobs a good one.
