Dodgy Access Control

Featured Replies

We got called out to one of our sites as the fuses failed on a power rio and took down a few circuits with it. Our maglock that prevents the door from opening when the alarm set was kindly relocated by the door automation company, to the outside of the building as they wanted to put an arm on the door.

Customer puzzled as to why this has caused a problem . . .

The doors look quite tidy but that growth on them looks obscene. The client really didn't tie moving it outside and fuses popping together.

Not tampered?

Whoops miss read all of that lol.

They could have atleast filled it with silicon for you lol

How many access systems are 'tampered'?, obviously it means linking between intruder and access, unless both are are undertaken by the same co, usually it ain't done for logistical and cost reasons-wrong but unfortunately true.

Would have thought Matt would have integrated everything MASaccess control and all that jazz.

I didn't realise you could get tampered maglocks?

The readers are as are the contacts but the emergency release/egress and maglocks aren't as I'm not aware of any products that exist that offer it. It's the same issue with fire, people can play with our kit and we'd never know as it doesn't have any tampers.
