I'm not disagreeing, but I've had a years worth of 490x 1 way systems with no problems whatsoever. Perhaps 2 way comes into its own in certain environments?

how would you know?

when it works its fine. Its the voice dialler of rf signalling. If it gets through when needed then great. If it cant it wont retry and the alarm will be missed. Has its place but i wouldnt use it now

I know what your saying. Question is why do risco sell the 1 way detector in their agility kits?

because few understand what the issues are with 1 way and id guess its cheaper

Yes they are definately cheaper and I'd imagine battery life is reduced but maybe a small price to pay

on proper 2 way battery life is increased, as the sensors totally shutdown on unset. No need for battery saving

Had 2 issues with one way wireless in 5 years so don't worry about it. The system is grade 2 so fit to spec and all is ok.

The galaxy mob have had major issues with zone jamming recently so install your one way and done right it will be fine.

Make sure your zone receiver is10% above noise.

Folk on here don't like Gardtec/Risco but I see more problems with Honeywell starting to crop up.

Just fit it to the standards and you will be fine.

Agility 2 way detectors are only a couple quid more, but like I say Risco don't offer the 2 way in their standad kit packages.
