Following the feedback received from here and elsewhere, we've followed the vast majority of installer requests and implemented the following on the new product design:

  • headers (not modules) for selecting the panel resistor values
  • increased the space within the housing for ease of connections / install
  • introduced a lid and the PCB on a base, for ease of access and installation
  • increased the operating gap on both the G2 and G3 versions
  • kept the footprint exactly the same as the tens of thousands of earlier products for ease of retro-fitting / upgrades

Product datasheets / photos etc available at the links below:

G2 = YEND24:

G3 = XEND24:

Nice one hope my feedback helped, look forward to fitting the new contacts :)

It certainly did, cheers Couger.  As soon as we've run the first product and it's been tested, I'll get you a few out to test and report back here.  That's putting my neck right on the block if they don't work though!!

I was very kindly sent a sample pack and I'll be fitting most of it soon.

But a big thumbs up for the rubber spacer, a simple but great idea, and the J60

conduit J/B http://www.knightfireandsecurity.com/view_item.asp?id=1 just a shame its

a bit of a fiddle to fit the resistors to it...

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

cheers all for the positive comments chaps.  We are listening, and as a result we are getting to where we need to be.

Following your feedback, we are looking at a possible new partcode / manufacture whereby the J60 comes with resistors built in i.e. J601k, J602k2 etc.  It's just a bit of an admin / stocking nightmare as we are trying to reduce the amount of our lines with multi panel products!!

Will report back here.
