Sd1 Very Poor Audio Playback Quality

Featured Replies

Hi I purchased a brand new unused SD1 dialer on ebay and the audio quality on playback is very poor any way of improving quality and volume of recording. I have tried recording with cover removed not much better. Any thoughts. email Please read the rules before posting thanks

How poor, bear in mind eBay is used by some to get rid of less than perfect gear rather than reject it.

You can try recording with the front off and talk directly into the microphone, but i've had this before and ended up replacing the unit.

Is it defiently an sd1 as that unit was replaced by the sd1+ many many years ago

Yes its an SD1 not an SD1+ I think its been on the shelf for years as the staples in the manual are rusted.

Rust = Moisture

Not good for electronic items.

There not normally crystal clear, but should be clear enough to understand the speech on the telephone.

As said before quiet background, speak clearly into the microphone on the back of the PCB, if your still not happy it's possibly faulty.
