Anyone Used One Of Those Cheap Ebay Borescopes?

Featured Replies

I was thinking of getting a cheap borescope off ebay, there are usb ones that plug into a netbook or laptop for about £30, I think they would be handy for looking inside walls and voids, anyone tried one?

I was thinking of getting one of these while they are on promotion

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Make sure you use plenty of petroleum jelly before you poke it in otherwise it may be an embarrassing visit to A&E

I wish I was installing again, you young ones are spoilt, what's wrong with tapping plaster for joists and pipes and sing an old broken mirror.

I have and use one of these, they work pretty well.

I have my connected to a samsung netbook running windows xp.

I also use a 5mtr usb extension cable with it, without problems.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies, mine arrived today from dart systems, seems well made for £29 delivered. Wall mounting a plasma later this week so that will be a good chance to test it for looking inside walls.
