Who Uses Ip Cameras Currently

Featured Replies

What do you use and why?

We use Axis, Pelco, IQeye.

Tried panasonic, didnt rate it, and thought the bosch units poor in comparison to the axis for picture quality.

There up and coming.......I'd personally say there about 12 months behind Axis in terms of image quality / features.

We've used 180 & 360 panoramic cameras and a few of the compact IP cams for a specific project due to there size.

Pelco have really caught up with Axis over the last 18 months, they just need to sort there pricing out now to be more competitive.

I'd say the Pelco IXE20, IX30 are amongst the best IP cams currently available.

Ive only used pelco spectra IP, but was very impressed with a demo of their HD PTZ.

What i like about axis is reliability, flexability and image quality.

im very new, are ip cameras cost effective in comparison to other solutions currently out their? Thanks

I liked the Bosch cameras, quality seemed good, although I have not compared them to other IP cameras.

IMO There are only a limited number of sites will benefit a IP installation. Mainly office based, pre-cat5/6 cabled environments.

I mostly prefer to avoid the hassle and pull coax/shotgun cables in for analogue cameras.
