lol, M & S have been on their //.B.W.F.// for years, but know what your saying.

Yes they have but they have survived and not by being cheap.

Nobody goes to M&S for a quids worth of pick and mix and nobody goes there for BOGOF offers either.

They go there for what they percieve as top quality products and top quality service at reasonable prices, exactly the same reasons as I would select a plumber, electrician, engineer etc.

When we quote to fit a burglar alarm and don't get the job it's rarely becuase we were a tenner more than our opposition.

Our potential customer might tell us that but it's rarely the truth, it's far more likely to be the simple fact that the other guy knew how to sell.

I think in these times companies that are approved have a better chance because of insurance requirements and they can only install to a grade. Cowboys will install in the domestics where commercial is a lot more to benefit from now.

We are thinking of making an offer for a company in Chesterfield. Must be goung cheap as most of the day engineers spend time waiting for customers to come home, drinking tea, doing take overs in the middle of the night and doing callouts for free.

The companies that survive are those that adapt to prevailing market conditions. There are good opportunities out there but maybe not if you dont change to meet them.
