May 30, 200817 yr comment_199319 Hi, I'm new to this forum so apologies if I break any rules. I'm sure you get loads of requests like this but I'm looking for a 16 channel replacement DVR. Within my budget I've seen the DVR365 and the AVTECH AV717. Which is the better of these, or is there another, even better, model for around the same price? Thanks for any help. . May 30, 200817 yr comment_199326 I've used the DVR365 and its a good piece of kit. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! May 30, 200817 yr Author comment_199329 my advice is go for a jpeg 2000 unit they are so reliable and record quality is really good as well. Thanks for that. I've had a quick google and there seems to be cheap Silverline models in abundance and some odd one that Maplins do. Not sure what to make of these. Any comments appreciated. May 30, 200817 yr comment_199331 imo thats like saying 'go for a diesel' jpeg 2000 is purely a compression algorythm, its not really a type of machine, some of the jpeg 2000 machines will be poor. Im a fan of the compression system but thats all you can really say, not that all machines that use it are great. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
