Checked the switch range - all ok, but now sorted with a Firmware Update.... Very interesting that 2 cameras that were working well, went wrong on the same day...

It does appear to be some sort of conflict... When not connected to router, seems to be more stable and doesnt want to reboot.. I should have explained the cameras mentioned were on a separate site 8 miles away

Tried defaulting the new camera and one of the original cameras and the issue is still occuring...?

Anybody else suffering with Dahua IP Cameras rebooting very repeatedly...? Currently trying to configure one for a Job, and noticed repeated rebooting. Initially replaced the PSU, then tried POE but still occuring... Checked 2 other cameras that have been working well for many months and noticed both started a similar pattern this morning.. Logs show Abort, Startup then Hot Swap...in that order. My initial thought was a dodgy SD Card, but not all have Edge recording Bit confused as to whats going on and what has caused it to occur...?

I use the XXL-F for handtools and the OT-XL for the drills..

The CIE faults weve had have all been mains related.... a WPD van drove past shortly after the lastest one..

If youve got the engineer code, then your in luck. If not - best to call someone in.

Years ago I did some work in the local hospital morgue on the Access System. From the day the system was installed they thought they had a ghost meddling with it with lots of banging, with doors locking and unlocking on their own... Hospital Services had fitted the kit, and after some investigation I found the problem. One 2A PSU was running 3 Double mags @1A each. Obviously the doors were taking it in turn to lock and unlock. A big fat 5A PSU fixed it... I can imagine it was quite a bit spooky! (did make me laugh though ) Worst but, apart form the guests, was the 70VAC across the Ceiling Grid and the PSU Earth. Oohh that hurts.. Hospital services didn't give a $h1t...

It sure looks like an R8, but my old manual shows on-board fuses and a central tamper switch on the pcb. You've probably a newer version/production of the R8. Good luck
