    Hi

0 is the escape button it will take you out of engineering you may need to press it twice

    Hi

Ive just realised that was the wrong manual you need this one http://www.rglsecurity.co.uk/usermanuals/Gardtec 370 - 581 - 582 User Manual.pdf

    Hi

Try pressing the 0 button, before you do do you know the user code?

    Hi

Cats are a little worse than dogs as they can climb up on stuff, Bosch Blueline Dual Tech are the best dont point them anywhere where te animal can get within 6ft of the detector and read the instructions. I havent done any intruder engineering for years now, so I wouldnt really be able to assist with the codes I would be okay if it was a later panel but not the older ones. You have the user manual though so it should be straight forward enough if you follow the instructions

    Hi

Dont take any notice of James he is living in the dark ages what type of pets have you got?
  8. I am surprised that a senior tech support engineer would say that without knowing what the current draw of the system is. We install systems daily and I can tell you without doubt that you are drawing too much current for the on board PSU. Its up to you but I would check the current draw in alarm before proceeding.
  9. You use the other power supply (with another back up battery) to power the detection and keypads, the panel will handle the bells on its own. The drawing shows the tampers in series, for the circuits, you just have to find the page that shows putting two sounders in series now.
  10. You have one wire in the tamper return for the bell so I take it that either you have wired the tamper returns in series, or only connected one tamper return. You have two negatives in the bell power terminals and the circuit tampers are not wire correctly which would suggests to me that you probably havent wired the bell return in series at all, and probably only have one bell tamper returned. The current being drawn from your system when in alarm is higher than the power that your control panel is able to supply. Before you go and waste money on buying two new bell boxes. 1. Do you understand what series means? 2. You need another power supply to run everything that you are trying to run off of your panel. At the moment you are trying to tow a caravan with a 50cc motor bike, you may be pulling it along okay but you are putting enormous strain on everything, and eventually something will give. Your transformer should be around 19.5vAC the 12dc output should be 13.5Dc so I would say the panel power supply is on its way out, or the battery in your multimeter needs changing, assuming its calibrated.
  11. You need to wire them in series, you also need another PSU when both bells are activated you are overloading the onboard PSU, as AlYeti says how do you switch it off LOL!
  12. AgreedPSU required and the tampers need to be in series unless you have some sort of open circuit tamper thing going on
  13. Why would you buy from that place even B&Q are cheaper for the same toot
  14. Its Chinese ebay ****, only wholesale chinese ebay **** its nothing any of us would install sorry Ive just discovered where China has offloaded all that 380 line rubbish James https://www.ultrasecuredirect.com/wireless-wired-dummy-floodlight-wildlife-cctv-cameras/diy-wired-4-camera-cctv-dvr-monitor-system-/4-camera-wired-cctv-dvr-monitor-system-002-1170-p115.html
  15. Its Chinese ebay ****, only wholesale chinese ebay **** its nothing any of us would install sorry
  16. High Definition (HD) Internet Protocol (IP) Most IP camera are HD now, you can still get non HD analogue cameras or coax transmitted.
  17. All my leaflets go straight into the recycling box without getting looked at. along with those free papers, I am sure that some people will read them but not that certain that the type of people that read leaflets that come through the door are the same ones that will have a need for a burglar alarm. The only time I ever took notice of the junk that came through my door was when it came with a free sample. Now there's a thought maybe you could give a free door contact with each leaflet, people may like it enough to buy a complete set and have it installed. 90% of our work comes from recommendation the other 10% comes from our website. We get a lot of recommendations worth having too.
  18. From that description it could be many things my guess would be that the charging circuit did get damaged from the earlier problem, I would lay money that your new battery is not charging. check the voltage
  19. As Rullland says fit a separate power box at the camera, I would imagine this will solve problem anyway, I think it probable that your camera is not getting enough power
  20. Can you put the power box at the camera?
  21. What cable are you using for power? Powering locally means plug the power box in at the camera. DC will lose voltage over 100 meters it really depends on the cable size Google ohms law for more info. AC travels better over that sort of distance. RG6 could be a bit small for 150 meters I dont use coax personally, we use cat 5 with Baluns over that sort of distance we would us active baluns
  22. Sometimes a complete cold start will default it, down power open it up remove battery wait a couple of hours for the caps to discharge, power up without battery, try default passwords admin 1234, or admin admin, or admin password. If none of those work through in bin and buy a new one.
  23. You need to compare what the psu is putting out with what is at the end of the 100 meters on load. If its DC and you have a big volt drop theres your problem , you can raise the voltage by doubling up cores or using thicker cables but it would be better to power the cameras locally
  24. So the power is about 100 meters away the coax is 145 meters Have you checked the voltage at the camera?
