  1. iirc beams at still under bs not en yet under pd. The argument is a g3 device needs rear tamper and i dont know of one with a back tamper. Ade is better on regs in his head than me, id need to look at current pd

self cert was a thread wasnt it

  2. A skilled installer does not use this method.

Self drilling screws are best for roller shutter magnets.

Amps do you only do install or service as well ? Many a time I've had to bolt through due to magnets being knocked off by numpty forklift drivers etc. can get to the stage where the shutter resembles a dart board with amount of different screw holes they end up with. Skilled installers are just that .... They install and never return to fix problems

depends on the shutter, were talking the thin alli with insulation between skins here i take it,

  3. I'd go with you on that one goncall. But back to the external beam regs, If the roller shutter is not protruding onto a public highway (space etc.) and is on enclosed private land wouldn't it be better to 'catch' the intruder before he decides to demolish the roller shutter ? What are the regs on this ?

dont know off hand but external protection signalled on a different channel from memory

  4. yep

i lived in a village that was old stone built houses of varying sizes built in mid 1800-early 1900's best made best looking proper sized rooms etc, mine on an estate in mid 80's **** walls small rooms even the **** upvc windows and doors fitted about 10 yrs ago ive replaced every handle and lock due to failures and i replaced those from wood which bar the odd sand down and re varnish were way better in hindsight

  5. lol

the 2nd funiest incident was when a drunk driver thought we were plod

coming home at 4am, back then I had a J reg white astra with wheel trims knocked off, looked like typical undercover copper car of the day

It was cold as fook so we both still had our yellow jackets on

The car in front was weaving all over the road at 5mph and hit the kerb then stalled.

We stopped and approached the guy, who said 'im sorry officers i've had a few'.

So we told him it would be better if he turned himself in at the plod station, by foot about 50m away as it happened.

And watched him just about walk up the steps.

He probably just got kicked out again for being pissed, and didn't say a word about drink driving, but who knows?

    brough would have clamped him

  6. Gaz I agree except with a full steel bulkhead factory fitted it's less of an issue. Plus I have never found what I wanted from the racking co's without spending more than the van is worth and some more.

steel bulkhead should be the starting point i agree, but people see all this bespoke racking from the big players and want it but it costs a fortune mine is bog standard type racking and its great i dont need a special slot for this or that just work around what it is and make things fit

  7. I think he was referring to your abode

Its hard to latch on to his humour, tho i can get my wifi across the road which is a good 25m away from where the router is its a new one with the 2 bands on what ever they do
