  1. If you haven't got anything constructive to add to the discussion regarding the initial post then please don't bother, I can assure you I'm well aware of certain fire alarm engineers that frequent forums who have a theory that what they do is something akin to brain surgery.

The simple matter is, you have no idea whats the issue is but feel the need to post verbal poo

I'm sure you will work it out for yourself superstar, now fo back to DIY.com

  2. Being brutal your CV could do with some work, simple stuff like spelling London with a lowercase 'l' is inexcusable in the age of the spellchecker.

I'd also like to know a lot more (but not hugely more, about another sentence) about some of your positions.

Also avoid terms like 'I consider myself' - I might consider myself the greatest installer in town but if I told you I *was* the best it might

make you listen - could still be BS but it sounds more confident and more likely to be possible.

Anyway that's just for starters, good luck!

Tbf to the op its decent, granted hes not bigging himself up as the best installer in town but he may be,i know the cv writers like you to make out your the best in the land but i find that if you cant back that up in practice you will look a fool, hence why i may word mine different

  3. Yes bt home monitor is rebadged powermax with hard coded digi phone nos.

Bt tried again to break into the home security market since then, but just like the first time

Gave up and ended up dumping £££ of stock for pennies.

Your joking bt security had thousands of customers the first time round and sold it to modern, good kit and installs too all hard wired and used a wireless kit based on scanny

  4. Getting a new service manager. Was a call centre supervisor beforehand. Think all my previous service managers have been engineers or sales within the industry prior to moving to management. Interesting times ahead

well at least you will be the first person in the world to ever get to speak to a call centre supervisor,i always thought they didnt exist

  5. probably better in trade id say,tho depending on the size of the co and the role if hes's there to count beans doesnt matter if he knows the industry or not but ideally should be from the industry as then they know how it all works and that fault finding can take more than an hour sometimes :-
