  1. Dont regulations either Just qualification s *need
  2. What you want to do with it? The few zones you might use can all be programmed via the keypad , otherwise scccraap it in my opinion I don't really like rss either for dimensions, although it's 100x better than gold , might be better of with texecom or a flex panel , or dimension for what your doing
  3. Dimension cheap on eBay man , now that experiment over , you won't regret swapping over
  4. How many codes you decyphered so far?
  5. Let it sound 10mins or less is enough to grab something and run
  6. I think point is gsm doesn't always work, I had a community centre with this problem dialler dialling out but poor signal occurred on there gsm so did nothing for a day until signal returned , in that case it polls once a day that's how they noticed
  7. Dialler on its own is an issue but it's what people are prepared to pay, better to install a gsm unit along side and also use it to flag line failures etc , if prepared to pay , but most don't
  8. Let me know what you need clarifying? Are I see previous post, I still stand by my statement , perhaps rephrase a little "most diyers won't use all the outputs and will simply use one output from the panel to activate a dialler for notification, outputs on diallers are rare to be used by diyers , maybe a few do but most don't " Only in my limited opinion and perhaps on the grand scheme of things that's what I have seen
  9. Lol Hello Do you know Peter?
  10. If system is setup so zones can be omitted then yes , entering user code and looking through menu for omit , it may come up with no entries, if so then you must call an engineer
  11. Depends what you want the sounder to do , ie programme the output
  12. You can apply for trade membership to get access , providing your in the trade somehow ie installer business manufacturer etc
  13. Maybe end up like da-bosch oneday ie dead
  14. Still can't give up my dimension yet..... Better than an ion a doc?
  15. Ah ok yeah same as what i use, hidden they still make noise
  16. Naa man , you need internal sounders , bells can't be always heard outside , inside you want them to leave asap , although they know they have a little time , noise inside will hopefully annoy them He won't be guessing much with a light beeping keypad , probably thinking ok I got 10mins to grab something as its quiet Need noise man
  17. Speaker gives you different "speed"(whatever you call it) tones for faults or exit etc Sounder just sounds
  18. Nah man some pir false alarm for all kinds of reasons , some cheapy ones can do so with interference , poor installation ie plastics bent seen all sorts But I never had a problem with Honeywell pirs dualtec or standard
  19. I thought this bell won't sound unless you connect the +12v? Disconnect bell for a while, then leave plus 12v to bell disconnected at panel, reconnect at bell end , move link , close all tampers at bell , ie close covers put screw in , then last reconnect +12v at panel end Something like that
