  1. Did you open up 554-558 like breff said? We don't use samsung but some times control and access can be restricted on DVRs if you don't open the full range of ports required.
  2. Where is the site? Give us a shout if you're still stuck. As norm said, link out all safety and see if it closes, if it does bell out each pair until you find the open circuit.
  3. As James, new battery at that age. If that does not clear the fault then you can try the monitor hardware, think its a local setting, not sure its in a wintex menu.
  4. No of course, but I assume the OP is not brain dead. This has happened to me more than once after swapping a battery after a long mains fail. Tech know about the issue.
  5. Maybe not. The prem has a bit of a bug, go into 'Monitor Hardware' and turn off Battery monitoring and exit engineer, it should now be clear of the fault. Now enter engineer and turn battery monitoring back on. Should work.
  6. We have 2 G4's going in next week if you want me to test one James.

    What is this James?
  8. very true, being a lazy **** I do ok. One thing that makes it worth the longer hours (not 15 though!) is having something to sell at the end.
  9. wheeeeeyyyyyy If council flats were like this I'd go and sign on like you.
  10. I would agree, but a wouldnt last long enough being told what to do etc to get to that point. Saying that I take home a fair bit more than any of my mates and no they are not all paupers
  11. Those 15 hour days take their toll on body and mind! I do 10-12 hrs most days, but you get used to that and if you can get a couple of those hours done at home it makes it easier to live with.
  12. Good point. I had to remind myself a while back that we work to live and not live to work. Atleast thats what I told myself when I was in Las Vegas and Cancun this summer
  13. Why not go for a cheap dialler or cctv relay (if they have it).
  14. Daft however you look at it IMO. ie. selling gear to public or installing equipment you don't support. Or it could be a pro company with coms contract and customer is after a free reset on here we would never know.
  15. IMO the more we do, the less we have. There will no longer be a security installation company and it will become more grey then ever.
  16. I have a good suggestion for you.......................................
  17. If thats the case you would be better with part time admin and maybe a trainee/apprentice IMO, would cost you same as one fully qualified engineer. You need to look at what YOU would rather be doing, paperwork or installs?
  18. lol, ain't that the truth, more staff = more problems. Only way to go though if you want to earn decent £££ over a sustained period IMO. One thing i will say about this game, i don't have any friends my age that earn the same as i do, so although its hard i don't see a time i will ever go back to cards in, i wouldn't know what to do with myself. PS: To anyone reading this and thinking about making the jump, in this current climate i would say some of the newer firms on here are the exception to the rule, alot more go to the wall, infact atleast one who osted in this thread has gone tits up twice in as many years. So think about it!!
  19. is thinking, time to go back on the tools???

    Galaxy G3-48

We've got 2, but obviously they don't work too well It's improved since this photo was taken. I find they tend to work a little better when they leave the car/van.
