Hi all, Just introducing myself as a newbie! My name is Dan Austin & have worked in the telecommunications & access control game for about 14 years. I run my own business - Austin Telecom - which specialises in supplying and installing PBX systems, Door entry & access control systems. Though I know absolutley nothing about security, ( and dont intend to start!) i hope to be of help to anyone trying there hand in the telecoms world. That will do for now!

Hi All, First post to the community, I've been servicing alarms for around 19 years with a large national company, seen many changes, some good/bad. Still feel that a lot has to be done to rid ourselves of "false alarms", although, working for a large company, I find that products are largely chosen by price NOT quality !!! But are the engineers ever consulted on good or bad products NO !! its just down to the purchasing dept, of which many have never worked in the "real world". Keep up the excellent site, look forward to coming back soon.

Morning to you all, appologies fer any mistakes I make, this is all new to me. Don't expect ther be too many folks up on ther PC at this time of day. Just found this site by default, so 'ave lots of catching up to do. Me first post on ere, been alarm installing fer 23 years now, but looking forward to retiring to France one day (in next 3 years). Got me ouse in France to retire to, 'ere as must be obeyed' spends alf er time over ther, I don't get away from work too often, but at least I know where retirement will be. I am a small time installer mainly domestic installer. I started with the A1 system years ago,but now installing mainly texecom exels which operates beautifully.I am also an electronics engineer.
