I have already posted a few times for advice, and I read the boards on most days. I just wanted to say a big thanks to all of you that have spent your own free time replying to my questions.

I moved into my new house a while ago. After decorating and so on, I turned my attension to the alarm. I was told after buying the house it did not work. A few questions later I got it working. I have now replaced all the PIR's, added a magnetic contact on the front door, changed the Bell Box and panel. It is only a bells only alarm at the moment but I hope to add a dialler at a later date aswell as more PIR's and a contact on the garge door.

In all honesty I was never going to spend enough money to get a professional install. ( Although I would have liked to ) I have also enjoyed doing the work and researching what to buy with your help. I so nearly bought a Sonnade Bell Box.

I also enjoyed reading the friendly ( And not so friendly ) banter. Sorry for the long post, I will continue to read and post again when I need some more pointers.

I'm scared now. It takes a brave ( or stupid ) DIY'er to post pictures of their install. Not sure which I am.

Nice we ( us them) could help, the banter is that, just banter. Like any profession we agree to differ at times. But we all sing from the same songsheet in the long term.

'Tis up to you, Im more curious than anything, but If you do post pics they will get scrutinised by the trade members

Then you could possibly make your system better / neater.
