If the customer said you burst a brick they would pay for it to be replaced, customer says you wrecked her garden plants they paid, customer says you walked mud over there carpet you paid for a new carpet. No wonder they don't hesitate to pay out to the customers, when they are potentially claiming on their insurance & taking the money from engineering staff. Double whammy anyone? securealarmsolutions Posted April 23, 2012 Share Posted April 23, 2012 Once drilled through a 2" lead gas pipe buried in a wall. No sign of where it came or went to! Had to evacuate a solicitors with over 25 staff, for over an hour till the gas board arrived! Small talk in the carpark was limited,lol. yabba510 Posted August 5, 2012 Share Posted August 5, 2012 Was on a job in a grade 1 listed library, chippy was told to take up some floor boards so he went at it with circular saw, straight through a mains water pipe . 10metres of water jet fountain all over the old books etc. He wasn't flavour of the month!
