crispylees Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Hi,  My ancient Accenta8 alarm panel has given up and I plan to replace it with a Texecom Premier Elite 24. I have swapped all the original PIRs for Honeywell IS312 as I decorated each room. Are PIRs basically standard and compatible with most alarms or do I need to replace the PIRs if I install the Texecom panel?  Thanks  Chris Quote
sixwheeledbeast Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Should be compatible if you wired as double pole with commoned tampers. I'd probably replace them. Quote
crispylees Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Thanks for the quick reply. Just been an expensive month - car, washing machine and alarm in the same week!!! Trying to keep costs down  What's your reasoning behind replacing them...reliability? Quote

PeterJames Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Use a bucket, soap and sponge instead of buying a car washing machine! Quote
