What wireless panels do people use

Recommended Posts

Pyronix for me. The app is main reason.

Ive inherited a couple of Ajax systems and they seem solid. At some point I’ll set up a demo system to really check them out. Hard to give the impression you actually doing something on an annual maintenance on a Ajax though as no keypad. With an Enforcer you can at least press a few buttons and make some noise. I’m old skool though.

I never install Texecom as I hate their kit, always feels cheap. That said wireless is probably their strongest field. Never used the Texecom app so cannot comment.

Never used those panels. Would you recommend those ones then. Don’t actually do too much wireless ,and when we have had to in commercial places it’s normally expanding a ion with wireless expanders.

Isnt Ion 1 way wireless?

A keyfob which needs powering up,

A bizarre manner which to register the connect app

An odd little box to go along the controls to connect to wifi

Noncing about telling the app what rooms & what devices a zone it

Boo Pir's, (walk around the room twice & then shout boo to get them to trigger)

Wireless RKP appear to eat battery's ?

I'm not much of fan

As above its open ended I don't like the pyronix but from the above comments looks like they finally have a working product.

However I rated the mag ultra as a decent dudget sensor. Sterling 10 was a bit hit though

Most of them I have seen either stop picking up or latch active and get red hot, lens plastic gets brittle with age too.

It's just too open ended to answer, everyone chooses and avoids kit based on there past experience with it. We won't all get the same experience.

Another example, many rate Risco I-wise sensors I don't, have seen too many daft false alarm issues in the past to trust fitting them.

There is a similar story behind every piece of kit, it's chosen because of reliability and fitting in with how you work.

A one off purchase isn't going to matter, if it works that time.

The only issue is the mask, used as grade 2 or power cycling once in blue moon will stop false masks which open the alarm relay
