Yes i gather each job shouldnt take more than hour, talking to engineers in the past otherwise they have to call for assistance.

Trouble is, does someone come and look at these jobs before hand or just send the engineer in blind, i mean a long cable run could take an hour on its own nevermind connecting and testing.

You've got the wrong mentality there, you use less staples on longer runs so it won't take any longer to fit 100 metres than 10 metres!

Silly me of course, no more than 10 staples per 100m

My town is in Hull and surrounding areas we have Kingston comms and we have never been able to fit redcare on there exchange allways had to fit smelly dual comms...YUKKY

We also can only use them as an isp sad really as they feel they can charge what they want so its not the end of redcare for us because there has never been a begining.

cheers

You can lead a horse to water but you carnt climb a ladder with a bell in both hands.

Depends on what type of install it is. If it is a 100 pr run then you might be lucky and have a survey officer to plan the work.

Hmm interesting, whats the promotions prospects like in BT, ie if your an engineer will you be doing cable runs the rest of your life or can you move up the ladder to something more complex.
