March 18, 20206 yr comment_497139 Hello, I came across a Scantronic 9600 System today, they are a bit before my time. When performing the procedure of defaulting the Engineer code due to the age the IC8 chip it was brittle and damaged. On the chip were 2 lines as follows 93CS66B1 92A422 My question is, is it as simple as getting a new chip and popping in then setting up again or is there more to it? Also found a similar post and this was recommended for the replacement chip, would this work?: https://www.google.com/search?q=24C16%2FM24C16-WBN6P+DIP-8+Serial+I²C+Bus+EEPROM&oq=24C16%2FM24C16-WBN6P+DIP-8+Serial+I²C+Bus+EEPROM&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Thanks in advance! -Thomas Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43640-scantronic-9600/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 Just to confirm, the chip linked below will work and is just plug in and play?
