If you connect it to a phone line, provided that phone line is BT (not just openreach) it will send SMS via ETSI, not TAP, which actually works.

I have to say Orisec is pretty nice, personally I haven't had any issues but I have heard some bad comments about them from other people. (must be texecom making fake accounts!)

 

I went on a tour of their factory almost a year ago now. Pretty impressive stuff. 

I got a sample bellbox a couple of months ago after opening an account. I have to say the backlighting is some of the best I've seen!
