Scantronic 9751 - Proximity Tag stopped working

Featured Replies

Scantronic 9751 control panel with 9943 keypad.

Recently one of the proximity tag has stopped working. keypad just doesn't give any responce to proximity tag.

I tried to assign it again to the user by going in to master user mode but keypad just doesn't identify the proximity tag. Proximity tag is grey in colour and was supplied with the system at the time of installation.

Can someone advice if that proximity tag is now dead or if it can be reused some how?

If others are reading I'd suggest the coil inside the tag is broken

Hi James,  Thanks for the reply, Yes other one is working.

I know need to replace the broken one.

Was going through the manual and as per manual "any Industry standard ISO Tag or card"  can be used.

Now ebay and amazon is filled with proximity tags . Mostly seems to 125khz or 13.56 mhz.

Can I buy any one of them or it has to be genuine scantronic product ( PROXTAGPK5) .

Hi there I too have a problem assigning my new proximity tags to a new system. I’ve followed all the instructions to assign a tag to a user and it say to hold the tag near the keypad and nothing happens. Ive been through all the menus and can’t find anything else that relates to enabling the proximity reader. The remote control fobs won’t link up either. Any thoughts ?

Wrong keypad?

Or wrong tags?

Or faulty keypad?

As Alyeti says it could be any number of things, what model panel do you have and what type of prox fob genuine or compatible? Scanny wont work with any 125khz fob the it needs to be Manchester Format which are seldom found on the Chinese compatibles

However I'd suggest a new topic for your issues
