So complete DIYER here needing some advice on a Veritas 8 system. 

 

Houshold alarm has two bell boxes one at front and one at rear of property. Wiring comes from panel in garage to bell box at the front and then goes from here through the loft to bell box at the rear. When alarm is set off front bell box does not alarm or strobe but bellbox at the rear does both. 

 

One thing to to note is only one green led is flashing in the box which I believe is a battery charging issue.

 

anyone got any ideas with this initial information. 

 

checked all wiring connections in front box seem fine and must be as rear box is fine. Also checked battery in box by killing mains. And removing battery lead in panel again only back box sounds.

Veritas is ur panel what are the bells?

Sorry it’s a Texecom oddessy 1 bellbox and Texecom alarm box

Dont know the gear but id check the tampers on the non functioning bell

Take it your referring to the microswitch at the side which depresses when the box cover is replaced...?

 

would the battery being dead make a difference to the bell working or not ??

why the block term?

No idea, like I said I this is the first time the cover has been off the bell box since installation.....???

Maybe there way of doing the tampers ?

Not sure why there is two whites in the terminal block, you need to take one MSW wire to the second box.

I hope the other bell isn't SAB as you would likely blow the panel.

One flashing comfort light means it's in hold-off mode with the tamper open.
