As mentioned, main points for me would be the noise from the NVR's fans and the height of the cameras.

Height also for the IR range as I assume they'll be anti vandal domes. The range won't be much good by the time it reaches the floor. A metre or two lower can work wonders.

Cameras need cleaning on a regular basis so access to them is very important. Best bet would to be use turret cameras as they do not attract as many spiders/cobwebs as bullets and domes.

 

Pop down to your local Adi branch as they have a decent deal on Hikvision 4Mp turret cameras at the moment.

But yes cleaning needs consideration, although the most residential either don't clean at all , or use an abrasive cloth on the ceramic and wonder why it's fogged up at night , muppets

The DS-7608NI-E2/8P/A is also a decent price @ £125.99. Check Out the online prices you wont beat that.

Yeah i I see that deal in my local gardiners security. Was the 4mp fixed lens ones and had a Hik Dvr on offer too.

The deal did not expire on the 14th. It is available throughout February. Only the items in the top left hand box have now expired.
