Granny Goggins is most likely listening to The Archers?

But yes I have been in that situation explaining how to switch HDMI channels for the sake of the cost of a separate monitor.

I feel sorry for you, imagine it either doesn't get used or no end of callbacks?

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Ok thanks for that , I'll take your advice and make the purchase.

i did buy a 10mtr and 15mtr hdmi lead from cpc to connect to 2 TVs but they didn't work. No picture. I assume they were not of high enough quality?

As petrolhead says and also the listing -> "This cable functions as a signal transmitter, but NOT a signal converter."

You need to convert to a composite signal to use the existing modulator.

They probably doesn't get used, some are for playback purposes only anyway.

cheers for everyones help.ive ordered the technomate hd modulator.

@PETROLHEAD

Which external attenuator for the technomate do you recommend?is it one of those inline ones?

Yes. Usually either anyiference or vision, depends what they have on the shelf ag solutions group. If i'm stacking more than 2 devices in the rf chain i'll use a combiner and a few variable attenuators and use my spectrum analyser to tweak until all the muxes have a similar signal level at the faceplates.

What db will I need for my solution?  Do I try technomate on its own to see if alls well first?My knowledge of this department is close to zero!

Safest bet is one of the wee 0-25db variable attenuators then you can tune to your exact requirements. All being well you would dial it back until the new modulated mux is at a similar level to the muxes from the aerial, shoot for around 65dbmv at the most remote faceplate.

Top man thanks. HD modulator has come so fit it end of week hopefully.

Thanks all.

If you need to attenuate, dont use the passthrough on the modulator, otherwise you are attenuating the aerial too, you might need to fit a combiner
