I need to install a good alarm system in my house; I leave in Denmark. I want a privat alarm system, without a monthly abonament to some companies. I saw Honeywell provides good quality alarm systems, and it is possible to buy single elements (sensors), in order to fit the alarm system to my own house. I plan to buy the central panel Lynx Touch 5200, and then different sensors (glass break sensor, motion sensors..) which communicate wireless with the central panel. However, Honeywell is made specifically for USA (it is even not sold in Europe, I will buy in USA and import here). My question to the people in the forum is: Is it compatible a USA alarm system in Europe ? The wireless connections among components may interfere with other systems ? May I have problems of difference in power supply, or other unexpected problems ? (the investment would be quite big, so I would like to be sure I can install in my house without unforcast problems...). Steven Wei Posted June 4, 2016 Share Posted June 4, 2016 you'd better consult your local alarm installers on these questions if you are going to use a strange alarm panel coz you may encounter unexpected problems on the new alarm panel you never had contact, sometimes a tiny problem could get you stuck and stop you from operating further coz different alarm panel from different brands are designed to be operated in very different way.
