  1. It sounds like you would benefit from someone who knows this setup popping over to assist you, if your an installer have you tried tech support ?
  2. Being honest i always try to survey a site. 1. Because it is always good to be professional and meet your possible client, 2. If you dont and then get the job and turn up its sods law that you will hit a problem which ends up costing you more time and money, obviously on the bigger jobs more than small domestics. better to be safe than sorry plus whilst on site you can ensure there getting whst they need rather than what they think they need from reading posts on google !
  3. do you have availability for approx 20 days work in Barking, IP CCTV, Intruder & Fire but in depth detail can be provided if your able to fit it in and have it completed by the end of May ?

  4. ^^^^ Both are a good bit of kit ^^^^ Each system has its place granted but all in all good and serves its purpose
  5. Thats a huge amount from the off ! I think i will try the others as a demo first and see what suits us best but im sure there is a basic requirement of the SSAIB and NSI of information and reports we have to provide via this type of softwate ? Or have i just made that up !
  6. Ive not heard a great deal about Alarm Tracker or Winsims ? am i right in thinking there not so good ?
  7. True but its not a bad summary to start
  8. In short yes, could have worded it better lol
  9. It will but if you imagine a shed with a MC and a PIR hopping through a MC down the path and it gets lost, the devices in the shed are both lost. if your going to use a device as a booster then use 2 and position them so you have two devices to route back to the 8 / 32xpw
  10. I thought tampers were not important because people just deal with getting around alarms by shooting the residents ?
  11. Does no one else bother with alarm management software then ? i thought this was compulsory based on Ssaib or Nsi requirements for all the different reports ect ?
  12. Depending on how your wiring this up you do not want a 12v relay you need a 240v relay.
  13. I stand corrected !! wow its been ages since i fitted a non pet friendly detector lol
  14. I maybe wrong but that lens is in all detectors pet or non pet and would be better left in full stop, it wont make any difference to the protection the system offers you. and yes a zone activated after a final exit zone is entry route if you want the zone to be passed without triggering it on route to the keypad / panel.
  15. Program it as entry exit or final exit (cant remeber the options now) not entry route
  16. Personally i would not bother with them and where possible screened cable is always the better shout. if you do have major issues with induced ac just strap the panel, million times better results and no need for an additional part no materr how little they cost.
  17. This may help you https://truvisioncctvsecurity.wordpress.com/2013/07/10/cctv-resolution-explained/
  18. You can setup email alerts easily via the app once you have the comm wifi setup correctly
  19. Be wary of only a single repeater because if it ever fauls then everuthing talking back through it will go down leaving you unprotected. also test it in advance, Texecom is good but getting it to work on its maximum range is always going to be dodgy and if there is problems it will be sods law they only turn up once you've left thinking all is fine !
