August 6, 201510 yr comment_426456 My tip is always to use the box from a PIR (how apt!) or something, remember to turn it round as a junction box 'advertising' a Lyntek Supra6 PIR might look suspicious. Never use the brown cardboard from the panel unless the lighting is poor or the client is blind, or it's 4pm and you are in a hurry to get to the pub. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/38786-honeywell-replacement/page/5/#findComment-426456 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 August 6, 201510 yr comment_426458 "...you sound like one of those idealists that wants covers on joint boxes..." Hey, now that's a good idea... When are they going to change the regs so that external warning devices don't need a cover screw ? can't wait !! I have never lost a screw using the fluffy towel..nothing worse than looking in the lounge for a screw you dropped in the kitchen. However, I must go with the times i suppose so the 'pub at 4pm' seems a good idea. August 6, 201510 yr comment_426469 If on the rare occasion I dropped a screw and couldn't find it I'd place one of my stocking over the end of the vacuum and go over the area. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. August 6, 201510 yr comment_426526 Rumbled because of my towel, I'll be more careful in future...and I might just consider the vacuum cleaner idea, it's workable.
