I forgot the 9448 was the bum basic version, you might be ok. Walk test first and report back. Do you have any electrical knowledge? Can you work a multimeter to measure voltage and resistance?

But tbh a pro is best. The last thing you want is to cause a short, electrocute yourself or have a system that false alarms or fails to perform when needed.

My bad, I should of said to use existing cable if prooved ok, and not full re-wired system
