Last night we went to switch light on the landing and set off alarm which is a optima compact showing 8 zones. We tried to reset by putting in our code which stopped the alarm bell but now we can't rest as dos lights keep flashing and green light is on the lock symbol

How can we set the alarm again please

Sounds as though either engineer reset or a service issue

How did you set it off, did you cause a tamper on the keypad?

I will put my money on a battery replacement…….i would advise a service at the same time.

Sounds like the power to the system could be spurred off the lighting circuit, might be worth telling the engineer that just incase any of the fuses have blown on the fused spur or within the panel itself!
