If you haven't got anything constructive to add to the discussion regarding the initial post then please don't bother, I can assure you I'm well aware of certain fire alarm engineers that frequent forums who have a theory that what they do is something akin to brain surgery.

      Pleased to see you are giving as good as you get there.   As for the fault I have never known any addressable fire panel do that with no faults but I cant see how you have it wired or what its wired

    Well I'm sure I will, I guessed the engineer & Maintenance code and as I say its working so its no great shakes I was just curious as to the clicking

    Does it sound akin to maracas?

    its a single on/off fast click once every minute

    im on V2.56 of the main controller and v1.04 loop firmware

    As for the fault I have never known any addressable fire panel do that with no faults but I cant see how you have it wired or what its wired too. I would test that it works ok firstly then secondly look to see which relay is clicking if it has one Im not familiar with Gent, there a closed protocol system.

    Its just the panel by itself on my bench, single loop with 2 s-quad detectors attached nothing else

    I've commissioned the loop and and its correctly identifying the devices, the only thing I have tried is a smoke test

    Which relay is it. Is it programmed to flick that output as a heartbeat for a watchdog system maybe. I dont know that panel mind to know if its capable
