I have a secondhand zoom cctv camera Concept Pro VCP553. On the back there is a RS485 controller interface (see photo) socket with 7 pins. Can you tell me what type of plug/cable connector will be suitable and where I might buy it online.

It doesn't look like anything normal. Id guess the lead came with it when it was new

It's a relatively common connector in a way, just not one you'll easily (if at all) buy in qty of one and a bag of ten pins.

 

You might only be able to solder wires on then fill cavity with glue or potting. If its for a home project, of course.

yule have trouble getting any sense out of concept pro/videcon plc  unless you have a trade or support account with them,

 

find a local installer who may sell you the lead

At least it seems to be labelled on the case

Hi

I got excited when I saw Steveo44's reply but I already have that cable. It is specifically for a Concept pro AIR3026HGE(it connects into the bottom of the camera and allows the menu to be accessed) but would not be suitable for the VCP553

Any other suggestions??? What I want to do is operate the zoom from my Cop DVR PTZ
