I've always believed the competitor of tomorrow will be someone we don't yet know. If as an industry we don't get there first with these products, we will only have ourselves to blame when someone else steals our market space.

As always Joe excellent article, some are further ahead than others with the direction of the industry, nothing you have said surprises me, there are still plenty of opportunities for those prepared to just look around a bit.

I saw those smoke detectors in b&q don't seem to be shifting,the yanks and ADT have this app ready system up and running with the pulse it's nothing new imo,it may well take off in the uk but not for a while

it could be if joe domestic can be persuaded to buy it,other than that it won't work here in the uk imo.
