Is it unreasonable......

Recommended Posts

I charge £70.00 + parts as its usually enough to make people think "we''ll call you in the morning". £100.00 might be taking the piss - could you honestly charge that?!

Tricky area this though, because if you start doing call outs for non-contract customers, then once you've got your bones out of bed and into the van they usually ring back and say "dont bother we've got someone cheaper".

Also how do you know they will pay? They have all the legal protection, you have naff all.

So they have to REALLY despartate, ie. begging, for me to think about going. Batt fails on 9800 are a good one !

You're having a laugh eng?!

Your co charge 80 for 1st half hour and 10 for every 15mins thereafter, don't they?! that's NOT out of hours!!! (plus VAT).

And 99 for a D/T is a bit steep too, no?

Ring for an engineer, it will tell you on the invoice!! ;)

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

We charge non-contracted customers £100+vat for out of hours callouts.

We do this Deliberatly to put them off, but you`d be supprised how often it doesnt do the trick.

Thanks Dave, after all that I finally got the answer! At least I now know at what level the invoice needs to be to *not* put people off...! :)
