makes no difference,CCTV is a deterrent it won't stop crime same as alarms same as eas it's all a deterrent

supermarkets have it right,visible guard at the entrance to the store with a decent amount of good Ptz cams,but it can all fall down for a simple policy,so it's back to being a deterrent....

And the guard is legally allowed to do what? Ring the police. If the private sector is taking over what the police once did about time we had some of the powers.

Agreed. When was the last time you watches crime watch and could recognise the pixelated shots? Hd CCTV will be great, if it gets widely adopted.
