I think its a classic in more ways than one!

 

There is a big 'ol EEPROM chip on the board - I take it 2.16 is older than the bible then?

 

Id just like to get the most from it - If I can it to do remote monitoring via a comms module / aftermarket build then Id be happy.

 

Will this take Proxy Tag readers & a wireless RIO?

I think the classics firmware was last released at 4.58, so 2.x will be pretty old.

 

With the latest firmware, the G500 should be compatible with the keyprox and the older C076 wireless RIO.

Reading through the manuals it says that ethernet connectivity can be achieved at >V4

Is a G2 - 20 Panel going to work with my smart rio, existing rios, and RKP's ?

How many rios you got. If it is anymore than 1 then no. Max 20 zones and 12 are onboard

Could be close to 20  - but I guess I could look at a G2 with a higher zones ?

 

From what I can think - 20 on the nose. But thats not linking things like Fire Zones together or PA.

I assume I could only use my one smart rio plus a couple of other RIOs to set it up.

 

I must have about 7 spare RIOs surpluss in my box of bits !

 

I'll keep my eyes peeled for one.

You can have 4 rios. Any combination of smart / non powered rios.

44 has some other features but they won't be of interest to you.

The classic is a more powerful panel than a g2. You may loose features too
