Many thanks for your reply.  Yes, I think that all helps.  Intend to just fit a new panel and RKP so will remove the EOL resistors from the PIRs.  There is notihg wrong with the existing internal sounder only that the battery is a Ni-Cad and 6v 170mah d ont seem to be available.  Having said that, ihave found the same model, new on eBay.
